Undrilled or half-drilled South Sea pearls from Pinctada maxima farms around Bali and Lombok, sold as singles or sorted parcels for designers and bench jewelers. Every grade is confirmed by inspection before payment.
Loose pearls, bought at the source
A loose pearl here is a cultured South Sea pearl from Pinctada maxima, sold before it touches a mounting. Expect whites, silvers, creams and goldens; Indonesian goldens run light champagne, while deep mustard is typically Philippine.
Climate pressure and illegal fishing pushed the industry toward cultured farms, so water quality and farm practice are fair questions. We say which region a parcel came from, what we know of the farm, and where we do not know.

Priced per gram or per piece
Commercial parcels are priced per gram because value tracks material. Fine singles are priced per piece: two pearls of equal weight can differ several times over.

- Six variables set the price: luster, nacre thickness, surface, size, shape and colour.
- AAA/AA/A charts are trade conventions, not government standards. A stated grade here comes from inspection or an accompanying certificate.
- The Indonesian Pearl Cultivation Association reported Lombok prices rising from USD 5 to USD 16.3 per gram around 2011–2012. This market moves.

Sizes, shapes and drilling
Parcels ship undrilled unless you say otherwise. Half-drilling for posts, pegs and caps is done per pearl, at positions you approve on photos.

Standard service on any parcel. We are not a gem lab and print no certificates of our own; for higher-value singles an independent lab report can be arranged before shipment.
