Who runs the desk, and why it exists

We are the pearl export desk of Juara Holding Group, not a farm. We buy from growers in West Nusa Tenggara and northern Bali and from Sekarbela workshops, then grade, document and export. Selling no harvest of our own, we have no reason to overstate a grade.

The paperwork is heavy: export approval under a Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries regulation, a Quality Certificate, a Certificate of Origin where required, and the BKIPM Mataram Health Certificate. Handling that chain correctly is most of what an export desk is for.

Where the pearls come from

Every South Sea pearl we handle comes from Pinctada maxima, the gold-lip and silver-lip oyster farmed across eastern Indonesia.

  • West Nusa Tenggara (Lombok and Sumbawa)

    What it supplies
Loose South Sea pearls, white through golden
    Notes
Sekarbela in Mataram is the retail and trade hub
  • Bali: Buleleng, Karangasem, Negara

    What it supplies
    Farm-direct lots
    Notes
Farms near Menjangan, at Bali's northern tip
  • West Papua (Raja Ampat)

    What it supplies
    Occasional golden parcels
    Notes
    Through partner traders, not on-site
  • Indonesian and Australian goldens tend toward light champagne; Philippine goldens reach deeper mustard. If you ask for deep gold, we say plainly what Indonesian farms can deliver.

One industry source put Indonesia at roughly 45% of global South Sea pearl production, worth around USD 500 million or about 40% of global production value, as of 2014.

How we grade what we sell

In writing, from physical inspection or accompanying certificates. AAA/AA/A charts are trade conventions, not government standards, so every quotation states its basis across six factors.

Luster

Sharpness of reflection, the single biggest value driver.

Nacre thickness

Depth of the pearl layer over the nucleus.

Surface

Pits, wrinkles and blemish count under direct light.

Size

Measured in millimetres; South Sea pearls run large.

Shape

Round commands the premium; baroque has its own market.

Color

Body tone and overtone, from silver white to champagne gold.

If a lot cannot be verified to the grade you want, we say so and re-source rather than re-label.
